Update: Sheppie attorney dies

Colonel Shaun Govender's life depended on a liver transplant.

THE Port Shepstone man who needed a liver donor has died.

Colonel Shaun Govender (50) was a legal attorney for Port Shepstone SAPS.

His family last week appealed for a donor in a bid to save his life. Mr Govender was being treated at the Wits Donald Gordan Medical Centre in Johannesburg. It is believed that an unusual reaction to TB medication had caused the liver failure.

His funeral will be held at the Christ the King Church, Aiken Street, Port Shepstone this Tuesday at 11.30am, followed by mass at 2pm.
