Watch: Fire breaks out in Shelly Beach, popular restaurant affected
Smoke could be seen from afar, billowing up into the sky.
A fire broke out at a shopping complex in Marine Drive, Shelly Beach during the early hours of this morning (Sunday, December 24).
Judging by photographs and comments posted on Facebook, it seems the stores or shops worst affected are Security Super Store, Grab Factory Shop and the popular eatery Highland Fryer Restaurant.

These are located in the complex across the road from the landmark Shelly Centre.
Comments on Facebook included calls to pray for the staff and people affected.
Others added notes of sympathy that something like this should happen the day before Christmas.

It’s not certain at this stage what may have caused the fire, where exactly it started, and whether or not anyone was injured or even at the premises when the blaze occurred.
