Despite the financial constraints of many children at the school, pupils contributed their pocket money and some took funds out of their savings to participate in this worthy initiative. The school also utilised the opportunity to teach pupils of the importance of conserving water as a valuable resource and to inculcate in them the spirit of Ubuntu.

Grade 7A collected the highest sum of R902.72. A cheque was handed over to Gift of the Givers’ Imraan Mahomed, who will co-ordinate the purchase of the water and its delivery to Cape Town. Parents, pupils and teachers are thanked for their generous donation to this worthy cause.
