Port Shepstone Junior Primary makes ‘worry dolls’

Lots of children are anxious and worry about life.

As a way of saying thank you to the pupils for raising a record amount during Swimathon, Port Shepstone Junior Primary hired water slides as a special treat. Each class was given half an hour to spend having lots of fun slipping and sliding among the soap suds and foamy water.

Linda Olivier’s grade 3 class had fun creating ‘worry dolls’ which were inspired by the book she read to them in class: ‘Silly Billy’ by Anthony Browne. Lots of children are anxious and worry about life. One way of addressing these issues is through a story like this.
