Niksha Sevnaran crowned queen at eastern wear beauty pageant

Niksha took part in the event at Sibiya Casino's isiZulu Theatre on Saturday evening, July 14.

WELL done to Park Rynie local, Niksha Sevnaran, who did her community proud after taking home a grand title at this year’s Shakti Beats Musical Mania.

Niksha took part in the event at Sibiya Casino’s isiZulu Theatre on Saturday evening, July 14.

She was one of the many contestants that competed in the Beauty Goddess Eastern Wear Pageant.

She managed to outdo her fellow contestants and was crowned queen. “I felt really happy, because I put a lot of effort in what I love doing,” said Niksha.

The most challenging part for her throughout the competition was competing against other Durban girls who, she also said, were very talented.

“They say practice makes perfect so I follow that motto to be good at my technique in modelling,” she said.

Niksha will be competing for the national title next year.

The best advice Niksha has for other aspiring models is that, when on stage, it’s important to be yourself. “A natural smile has a key role in winning.”
