Swoop
Law enforcement carried out an unannounced swoop on Hibberdene beachfront last Saturday afternoon, apprehending, fining and warning those guilty of illegal practices such as drinking, drunken and rowdy behaviour and other transgressions. It is hoped that this law enforcement is maintained regularly.

Book a stall
Good news is that the sought-after kitchen area of the town hall has been booked for the Spring Fair, to be held on Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6. When the kitchen area is booked, it immediately creates a busy, bustling atmosphere and this, together with stalls already booked, will ensure that there is plenty to eat, drink and spend money on. Marie may be contacted at 082 2935757 for more information.

Lucky draw winners

The final prize-winner has not bothered to phone in and contact the organisers, so will forfeit his prize should he fail to do so.

Your scribe retired from the South Coast Herald at the end of August and was seriously contemplating resigning from the neighbourhood news as well. She was, however, persuaded to stay on and so you will be blessed with her for a while longer. Don’t forget to keep Lizzie busy with Hibberdene news and snippets.
