Donny’s owner explained that the pup had suffered a broken leg after their neighbour had thrown a rock at the pup a week prior. The owner said she was unable to take Donny to the vet due to financial constraints.

“We put her in the car and took her to Scott Vet where Dr Biden  X-rayed her and strapped her leg. She went home but, a week later when we checked on her she had chewed through the plaster and by then had to have her hip stitched. Donny was taken back to Dr Biden where he stitched her up and kept her in recovery for two weeks,” said Wendy.

A choice was made to remove the dog from her owner’s care and in no time, David Hardwick from Pitbull Rescue had found a suitable home for her in Gilletts. Donny is now walking on all fours and is said to be enjoying her new home.
