Scottburgh High and Scottburgh Mall get behind Shavathon 2019

This year was the 16th national Cansa Shavathon which was managed by staff and volunteers from Cansa.

THE Cansa Shavathon is one of the most popular and well-supported events nationally.

In order to fund the organisation, Cansa relies on the goodwill of individuals, government and corporate partners to support projects such as their Shavathon.

There are three ways to take part in the Shavathon. The most common being to shave your head to show support for cancer survivors as many of them endure hair loss as a side-effect of cancer therapy.

If you did not want to shave your head but still wanted to show support, you could colour your hair or pay a ‘bailout’ fee.

This year was the 16th national Cansa Shavathon which was managed by staff and volunteers from Cansa.

Two local venues that hosted a Shavathon were Scottburgh High and the Scottburgh Mall.
