Umtamvuna Views: ‘The Greenhearts’ takes top honours at bowling match

Munster Bowling Club held its annual St Valentine’s Day Ladies’ competition at the club last Saturday.

February 14th has come and gone, but St Valentine’s Day is not celebrated like it used to be. It was an excuse once a year for eager young people to drop some hints to the one they fancied. And for newlyweds and romantics it was an opportunity to show their special mate how much they cared.

Your scribe has not decided whether to lay the blame on social media where everyone tells everyone exactly how they feel or whether to accept that she has just become a grumpy fuddy-duddy. Anyway, not too many red roses or chocolate boxes were sold, but hopefully romance and love is still alive and well out there.
