Scottburgh Methodist Church donated money to the club for the tea, and the refreshments were all bought from the Mongoose Tea Garden.

The tea garden is made up of a group of locals who sell tea and cakes at the nature reserve to raise funds for the maintenance of the reserve.

Margie Stella, administrator of the old age home, thanked the Kids Club and volunteers for making the day a success.

“It was such a special treat for our residents and we cannot thank everyone enough,” she said.

In addition to the selection of tempting teatime treats, each guest also received a beautiful handmade Valentine’s Day card.
