Brushing up on artistic talent

Students were presented with certificates of achievement at a festive lunch.

Enthusiastic emerging artists, students of talented local art teacher, Hélène Bruce-Webster received certificates during a lunch at her studio in Trafalgar last Saturday.

Many of Hélène’s students are ‘part-time’ South Coast residents from all over the world.

She was quick to bestow praise on her students, saying their all-round progress had been amazing this year.

“All of you have grown creatively and have produced quality work.”

She pointed out that the certificates celebrated artistic excellence and recognised the contribution of local artists.

“I truly believe that I have again achieved what I set out to do at the start – to uncover emerging talent and provide a showcase for such talent.”

Art student Brenda Vermaak thanked Hélène for her teaching programmes.

“Your students loved their sessions and made good progress in an environment that is fun-filled and non-competitive.
