Several injured in 3 separate crashes

A worker was seriously injured when a car crashed into a road construction site.

Several people sustained minor to serious injuries in three accidents that occurred last weekend and on Monday morning, March 9.

In the first accident on Saturday, March 7 a collision occurred in Ramsey Avenue, Port Edward.

Emergency services found the driver of a car had lost control and went off the road.

Two of the occupants who had sustained minor to serious injuries were treated and taken to hospital.

On Sunday evening, March 8 emergency services responded to an incident in Beach Road, Shelly Beach.

A car had crashed at a road construction site while workers were on site.

A construction worker was seriously injured while an occupant in the car sustained minor injuries.

In the third incident, a head-on collision occurred at the corner of the R102 and Ridge Road Umtentweni on Monday, March 9.

Three occupants sustained minor to serious injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown. Authorities are investigating.

KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to all the incidents.
