[WATCH]: More protest action at Oshabeni

The water supply crisis seems to have no end.

There’s more protest action at Oshabeni, with more than 400 members of the community blocking St Faith’s Road inland of Umtentweni this morning.

“They have blocked the road with assorted objects, including burned tyres, and are demanding water supply,” said Herald/Eyethu journalist Michael Dlamini, who was among those unable to get to Port Shepstone.

“They are saying the lack of water supply has been a problem for a long time and they are demanding answers from Ugu District.

“There is no way out at the moment. There is also no regular school as pupils have returned home. Others have been forced to miss work.”
