One dead in Margate crash

The cause of the crash is not known but authorities are investigating.

One person died yesterday (Monday) morning after the driver of a vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree.

Craig Botha, spokesman for KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service said paramedics found one occupant had sustained critical injuries, and one had suffered serious injuries.

Despite advanced life support one patient was declared dead at the scene, and the seriously injured patient was treated and transported to hospital.

The cause of the crash is not known but authorities are investigating.

Last Friday afternoon, Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to an accident on the N2 in Marburg.

“They found that two taxis and an SUV had been involved in a collision. Paramedics found that 10 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.”

The patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital.

The cause of the collision is not known but authorities are investigating.
