For others, it’s more of a challenge because they have so much time on their hands that they don’t know what to do with themselves.

If you fall into the latter category, here are 10 ways to occupy yourself:

• Read – Pick up a good book. By doing this, you can broaden your vocabulary and relax your mind.

• TV – Find a series to watch or tackle a ‘movie marathon’.

• Board games – Have some bonding time with those staying at home too by playing old favourites such as Monopoly or Snakes and Ladders.

• Crosswords and Suduko – Get hold of the Mail newspaper and have a go at the puzzle page.

• Exercise – Seeing that you’re going to be spending a lot of time at home, don’t get too lazy and try to work out as much as you can, even if it’s just yoga or a dance workout.

• Clean – Use this time to thoroughly clean your house. Especially now that the coronavirus is around.

• Rearrange – You could also try rearranging your furniture for a fresh new look.

• Listen to music – It’s soothing to listen to some of your favourite tracks, or you could play some upbeat songs and have a dance party for one.

• Pray – Keep your faith in God and pray for better days.

• Gardening – You can start your own little garden.

If you’re currently self-isolating, give one of these ideas a try… unless you’re meant to be working from home, that is!
