Leila’s Lane: Now is the time to dig deep

We are living in trying times and one has to think out of the box.

Lockdown haircuts are happening at home. As the saying goes, the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is two weeks.A lot of women, unable to get to their favourite hairdresser, are now sporting a halo of silver framing their faces. There is definitely something wonderful to be said about silver grey hair.

We are living in trying times. The challenge of how to make money, for the average man or woman in the street, is exciting. One has to think out of the box. We all have a talent of sorts, now is the time to dig deep. One could go back to the barter system if cash is short, it has worked throughout the ages for man.

The only person that you can rely on 100 percent of the time is yourself and you’ll only ever regret the chances you didn’t take, the relationships you were too afraid to have and the decisions you took too long to make.

The crime rate has subsided, touch wood, your head or anything else that will help to keep the statistics down. But also do not leave your gates, garage doors and windows open. If you do want to be generous, support organisations like South Coast Hospice and the SPCA. Living Word Hibiscus Church is handing out food parcels when and where possible, but needs support as the demand is growing. Charity does begin at home but if you can spare something, sharing is caring.
