25 injured in two separate South Coast accidents

The patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further care.

A total of 25 people were injured in two separate accidents which took place on the South Coast yesterday.

The first one, involving two vehicles, took place on the N2 near Merlewood in the early evening.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 14 occupants had sustained injuries, ranging from minor to serious,” said Craig Botha, spokesman for Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service.

He said the patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.

Later that night, Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to an accident on the P55 near Bomela.

When emerg
ency services arrived they found that three vehicles had been involved in a collision.

Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 11 occupants sustained injuries, ranging from minor to serious.

The patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further treatment.
