Lions' Club of Port Shepstone Citizen of the Year award for Lane Allan
The Lions are truly blessed to have a friend and supporter like Lane.
Lane Allan has been a wonderful supporter and sponsor of the Lions’ Club of Port Shepstone for several years now.
Whenever assistance has been requested, Lane has responded.
For this reason he has been presented with the club’s Citizen of the Year award for 2026.
President Trevor Read did the honours during the club’s recent annual charity golf day prize-giving at Port Shepstone Country Club.
Lane has sponsored ramps for wheelchairs, provided specialised tables for the Lions Show ticket office, given shutterply walling for the clubhouse, collection boxes and honours boards.
He recently sponsored and installed new, built-in cupboards for the clubhouse.
The workmanship provided by his company, Macsharp Timbers, has been of the highest quality and standard.
Lane is also a talented and popular auctioneer at many events.
Over the years, he has assisted South Coast Hospice with several of its fundraisers and has also auctioned off many items during several golf days, helping the Lions raise tens of thousands of rands for charity.
The Lions are truly blessed to have a friend and supporter like Lane.
