From Scottburgh to Port Edward, South Coasters showed their support for the Move One Million (M1M) campaign last Saturday.

Protesters dressed in black and white and carried posters reflecting their concerns about farm murders, corruption, gender-based violence and rape.

A Ramsgate resident who attended the protest said although they were a small group, she felt they had certainly made an impact.

“Cars drove past and judging by the expressions on people’s faces, some knew what it was about while others didn’t,” she said.

She added that everyone needed to work together to fight the problems faced in the country.

Round two is planned for October 24. Watch the press for more information.
