Special needs centre celebrates six years

Staff and pupils enjoyed balloons, cake, sweets, chips and juice, and a professional photographer was on hand to capture the special moments.

Megan du Plessis Special Needs Centre’s three classes are almost back to normal. with a few seats available here and there.

Masks, temperature taking, social distancing and sanitising have become routine and important things have once again moved into the foreground – like celebrating the centre’s sixth birthday.

Staff and pupils enjoyed balloons, cake, sweets, chips and juice, and a professional photographer was on hand to capture the special moments.

The centre’s first virtual run which took place at the beginning of August was most successful.

People from all over the world sprinted, jogged, walked or cycled to raise funds for the centre and and a very big thank you is extended to everyone who took part.

The next run has been planned for Term 4.

The centre’s application to become a beneficiary of the Woolworth MySchool fundraising programme has finally been approved.

Everyone is encouraged to sign up for a Woolies card, or add the centre as beneficiary should you already have one.

Every time you swipe the card. the centre receives a percentage of your spend.
