UPDATE: Confirmed Covid-19 cases stand at 4 804 in Ugu District

Some 4 045 people have recovered from the virus in the district.

As of Wednesday, September 16, KwaZulu-Natal has 116 674 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 6 943 are active with 161 new cases confirmed today.

Some 2 449 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 107 282.

The total number of people screened is 13 408 093 and the total tests conducted are 266 606.
