UPDATE: 4 872 confirmed Covid-19 cases recorded in Ugu District

Some 108 people have died from the disease in the district.

As of Wednesday, September 23, KwaZulu-Natal has 117 972 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 6 529 are active with 139 new cases confirmed today.

Some 2 604 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 108 839.

The total number of people screened is 13 968 259 and the total tests conducted are 274 915.
