Taxi catches fire in Old St Faith’s Road crash

Ten people suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate, Netcare 911 reports.

A collision on the Old St Faith’s Road in Umtentweni yesterday (Saturday) morning resulted in 10 people being injured, according to Netcare 911.

Spokesman, Shawn Herbst said reports from the scene indicated that a taxi and car were involved in the accident, with the taxi bursting into flames.

The injuries, he said, ranged from minor to moderate.

The patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
