Record label aims to create stars
It has recently recruited two artists, 'Biro' (Makabongwe Ngcobo) and 'LB Nefelibata' (Lwando Bentswana) whom it believes are the best artists in the district.
A South Coast record label, God Coast Entertainment established on the backbone of faith three years ago aims to inspire the youth to believe in themselves.
It has recently recruited two artists, ‘Biro’ (Makabongwe Ngcobo) and ‘LB Nefelibata’ (Lwando Bentswana) who it believes are the best artists in the district.
“Amazing things have come from this – interviews with big radio stations to performing at big events, we have established ourselves as a force to be reckoned with,” said manager and co-founder, Sinesipho Bentswana.
He said the label recently signed a deal with distribution company, Content Connect Africa.
“Their job will be to place our music on every single platform one can think of, on radio and helping us reach audiences over the border. The world has become our oyster.”
According to Sinesipho, the youth don’t believe in their capabilities.
“They don’t believe they can achieve more in life than what they can see around them. It is not drugs that is killing our youth, it is their mindset and the lack of faith in themselves,” he said.
God Coast Entertainment’s goal is to show the youth that there is a person among them who is brave enough to chase after their dreams.
“We have taken on the challenge to make superstars of some people on the South Coast,” said Sinesipho.
