The case has been postponed to a later date for further investigation.
A couple was awoken in the early hours of last Sunday morning to unknown voices in their Woodgrange home in Hibberdene and locked themselves in a bedroom for safety and contacted a security company.
Three suspects had made off with household property.
However, quick response from the police and members of SAPS K9 Unit resulted in two men being arrested and the recovery of the stolen property.
The thieves, aged 23 and 25, were charged with housebreaking and theft and appeared in the Umzumbe Magistrate’s Court on Monday this week.
The case has been postponed to a later date for further investigation.
Police expect to arrest the third suspect soon.
