Further investigations revealed the shop's safes had been cut open and cash and cell phones stolen.

A retail store on Nelson Mandela Drive, Umzinto was burgled last week.

According to police, when the store manager arrived at 7.35am, she smelt smoke and found the store in shambles.

Detective Warrant Officer Deena Govender of Umzinto Detective Service is investigating a case of business burglary and can be contacted at 039-9746500 should anyone have information pertaining to the case.
