Blending music and comedy

The two have worked together, on and off, for more than two decades and have performed shows of this nature in various places, near and far.

Barbie Meyer and Jonathan Brauteseth were back at their musical and comedy best at The Studio in Ramsgate recently.

South Coasters were treated to two nights of drama, music and poetry at the trendy new venue.

Jonathan joined Barbie for the first show, where the musical duo’s and banter captured the attention of the audience and resulted in much laughter.

The two have worked together, on and off, for more than two decades and have performed shows of this nature in various places, near and far.

While the Thursday night show offered much laughter and entertainment, the Friday night show was more sombre and dramatically captivating.

It was here that Barbie was back at her Herman Charles Bosman best, showing once again why she is so highly regarded and respected when it comes to performing in this genre.

There are more shows planned in the coming months, most further afield, for now.

The venue itself, which opened only a few weeks ago, received acclaim.

Many hope it will provide a platform for more artists to make use of – be it arts and crafts, theatre, poetry, music and more.
