Festive finish for runners

Staggered starts were implemented to avoid crowding and remain Covid-19 compliant.

The South Coast Striders held a fun run five days before Christmas.

The five kilometre route began and ended at the Uvongo fishing pier.

Enjoying the bright sunshine are (from left) Deborah Berridge, Lynn van der Merwe, Anne Naidu, Vuyokazi Mbhele, Bongani Mbhele (South Coast Striders chairman) and Corinne Parsons. Lynn, Anne and Vuyokazi were among the first runners to finish.

Staggered starts were implemented to avoid crowding and remain Covid-19 compliant.

Runners of all ages geared up in their festive attire and finished strong, all still with smiles on their faces.

Ziyanda Matandabuzo and her daughter Ahlume (10) have a blast at the run.
