Looters in a fizz as soft drink truck topples over at Sezela offramp

Some motorists even pulled over to get in on the action.

A Coca-Cola truck, which ended up on its side on the N2 South Sezela offramp, was looted by earlier today (5th)

At this stage, it is unknown as to what exactly caused the truck to collapse on its side and an official police statement is awaited.

The truck was looted mostly by residents living nearby.

Some motorists went as far as to stopping their vehicles on the offramp to get in on the action.

Hundreds of bottles of cool drink were taken in broad daylight.

Concern was expressed about the looters having a lot of physical contact with one another, which meant that social distancing was not being practiced, although a handful did make use of personal protective equipment.
