Riverbend Crocodile Farm

Located in Southbroom, this interesting crocodile farm is considered one of the most successful breeding basks in the country.
Visitors to Riverbend Crocodile Farm will get the opportunity to watch crocodile feeding, check out the resident 200 Nile crocodiles, and learn a bit more about these ancient reptiles.

Crocworld Conservation Centre

For a wonderful nature-based experience that teaches youngsters about the importance of conservation, there’s the Scottburgh-based Crocworld Conservation Centre.
There are daily crocodile feedings, tours and snake demonstrations, as well as a walk-through aviary and delightful children’s play area with farm animals.
Bring your family to meet our lovely animals and enjoy a delectable meal at our Fish Eagle Café.

Butterfly Farm

For a colourful winged experience, the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast has wonderful butterfly farms to explore.
Outside Port Edward is the renowned Mac Banana which has a stunning butterfly dome – MacButterflies – at the top the Nyandezulu holy mountain.

Visit the wonderful butterfly dome at Nyandezulu.

Visitors can take a tour of the butterfly dome, stroll over bridges past the waterfall, before visiting the MacFarmyard animal farm, and having a meal at Banana Café.
