Drunk drivers nabbed

They are expected to re-appear in the Ramsgate Magistrate's Court soon, facing charges of drunk driving.

Members of Margate and Gamalakhe SAPS, along with the Road Traffic Inspectorate made several arrests on Marine Drive and the P200 road last weekend.

During the multi-disciplinary operation, 68 people aged between 26 and 58 were released on bail, following their arrests for drunk driving.

They are expected to re-appear in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court soon, facing charges of drunk driving.

Ugu District Commissioner, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele was pleased with the efforts by these law enforcement agencies to prevent carnage on the roads.
