Inspiring tea for Stonecroft women
Sue Neilson wowed the crowd with her beautiful piano performance.
“Super Moms” were up for discussion at the recent Stonecroft Ministries monthly meeting at Shelly Methodist Church.
Guest speakers were super moms themselves, Cherie Loomes and Sandy John.
It was a fun and laughter-filled morning, as women enjoyed tea while listening to inspiring stories.
Cherie is a businesswoman who was once a model and a bodybuilder.
She shared her experiences on what it meant to be a full-on working mother.
While it did not come without its challenges, she said that she loved every minute of it.
“We need to choose joy, it’s a choice,” Cherie said to the women around her.

Vanessa Howard-Tripp reminded everyone that people go through difficulties in silence and sometimes it is good to share it with fellow women.
“We don’t speak out. You may not know of the hurt and frustration one of your closest friends is going through. We need to share,” she said.
Sandy John is a strong woman of enormous faith who stood by her husband in the church, community and at home.
She spoke on what it meant to be both a mother and a wife at home and in the community.
She explained how being a wife was not limited to just walking alongside her husband, but rather, it was a journey of trials and adjustments which allowed for a path of content.
“Understanding the dynamics of your relationship allows you to accept your partner for who they are,” she said.
“All of you are super moms because one of the biggest challenges in life is motherhood. Super moms are not born, they are made,” Sandy concluded.
