Hollywood-style premiere for Fish’s Tale
Bruce and Nadhir addressed all who attended the movie premiere and said that they hope this comedy will bring about many laughs during these stressful times.
Park Rynie based movie production company, Boulevard Films International, finally premiered its first and highly anticipated feature film, Fish’s Tale, at the Suncoast SuperNova cinema last Wednesday (28th).
The movie premiere was done Hollywood-style with guests including cast, crew, local celebrities and media being welcomed on a red carpet leading to photo opportunities with the stars of the film.
Lead actor and Scottburgh local, Bruce Gounder, wrote the family comedy and plays a character named Fish who, with the help of his sidekick Weasel, played by well-known comedian Jem Atkins, conjure up hilarious and totally outrageous scams to save Fish from facing foreclosure on his house.
The rags to riches movie was directed by award-winning film and television director and producer Mqondisi ‘MQ’ Ngubane and was shot in Durban and on the South Coast with scenes showcasing Umzinto and Rocky Bay beach.
Bruce and his business partner Nadhir Hurilal from Umkomaas, invested in this movie to give newcomers onscreen and behind-the-scenes an opportunity to showcase their talents and to promote the various areas shot in.
The movie is multicultural and introduces several witty and zany characters such as Jamaican Jack, a loan shark, played by upcoming actor and Amandawe local, Eric Hadebe.

The movie was received well by all who attended and the team hopes that their second feature film, Dreamy Dave, will be just as successful.
