Lusanda Ncane (16) of Gcilima was recently crowned Miss South Coast 2021.
It was tears of joy for the teenager when she was announced the winner.
“Lusanda wants to be an independent woman and achieve all her dreams, including being crowned Miss SA and owning a modelling agency. She started entering pageants to build her self-confidence,” said pageant organiser, Ntombenhle Ndovela.
Ntombenhle (18) started hosting pageants in 2019, and Miss South Coast 2021 was her third one.
“This pageant was special, as I want the youth to have a platform to showcase how talented they are, and to avoid bad company,” she said.
Other winners were also crowned at the pageant.
They are: First princess – Unathi Mnguni (16); second princess – Thobile Lubanyana (16); Face Of South Coast 2021 – Minenhle Mkhungo (20); director’s choice – Siphesihle Chiliza (16); best dressed – Minenhle Mkhungo (20); best smile – Unathi Mnguni (16) and South Coast curvaceous – Samkelisiwe Madwe (20).
