Residents are warned of a potential scam that has been doing its rounds recently.
Individuals dressed in the branding of a service provider have approached residents, especially in the Oslo Beach area, under the guise of the recent fibre rollout.

They then conduct a survey which requires a signature and ask to see the resident’s identity document, to confirm if they are a client of the provider.

Thereafter, they photograph the identity document, allowing them access to your banking details and other personal information.

Around two weeks later, a WiFi router is delivered to your door and you have been signed up for a contract with the company, even though you may not have explicitly agreed to such.

Residents are urged to be alert and never give out their identity documents or cellphone numbers to these suspicious individuals.
