Ugu dismisses employees for misconduct

Ugu District Municipality concluded its internal disciplinary proceedings and dismissed nine employees for misconduct yesterday (Wednesday).

The disciplinary hearing found these employees guilty of all the charges that were brought against them. Following these findings, a sanction of dismissal has been imposed on them.

This sanction has been implemented by the municipality in accordance with the relevant provisions of the disciplinary procedure,” said municipal spokesman France Zama.

Mr Zama added that the municipality will continue to implement stringent consequence management measures where necessary, in its pursuit to maintain law and order in the workplace.
