Missing Pennington buoy sought
If anyone knows of the buoys whereabouts, contact NSRI Rocky Bay on 072 6525158.
A National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) pink rescue buoy has gone missing from it’s designated spot near the Impithi Beach Cafe in Pennington.
“These rescue buoys are put in place to potentially save lives,” explained Linda Putter, deputy station commander, Sea Rescue, Rocky Bay.
“A drowning occurred in that area before the pink buoy was positioned there about a month ago, therefore it is needed in that area.”
If anyone knows of the buoys whereabouts, contact NSRI Rocky Bay on 072 6525158.
Should anyone have the buoy in their possession, NSRI requests that it be returned at the soonest – no questions asked.
