OPINION: ‘Sewage pours into Mbango River again’

The concerning part is that the Mbango River flows directly onto the Port Shepstone main beach, which is frequently used by swimmers, surfers and fishermen.

Dear Editor

Once again our precious Mbango River has been flooded with sewage.

This appears to be a never-ending problem, and a quick google search will reveal that this has been an ongoing occurrence over the years.

Tragically, our wildlife and marine life is at the receiving end of this environmental disaster.

The concerning part is that the Mbango River flows directly onto the Port Shepstone main beach, which is frequently used by swimmers, surfers and fishermen.

This time, can Ugu District Municipality take this seriously.
