Snow delight for children

Plenty of snow fell in Kokstad for children to build snowmen.

The cold front that swept through KwaZulu-Natal last weekend kept most people bundled up and huddled in front of heaters, however a few braved the icy temperatures to experience snow, some for the first time.

Mother Nature did not disappoint, some towns were turned into winter wonderlands, and residents did not have to travel far for snowy landscapes.

Traditionally the Midlands and Drakensberg experience regular snowfalls, however the past weekend saw Hilton and Hillcrest experience a light dusting of snow to the delight of residents.

So far, the weather has warmed up and with Spring now here, hopefully the winter woollies can be stored away until next year.
