Paddock killers sentenced for gruesome murder

Two men were convicted for the brutal murder of a Paddock man (45) in the Pietermaritzburg High Court this week.
Sakhile Enock Ncama (25) and Bethuel Funokwakhe Ncube (26) each received a sentence of 25 years’ imprisonment for murder and 15 years’ imprisonment for aggravated robbery.
The man was brutally murdered on a farm in Paddock in April this year.
On Tuesday this week, the Pietermaritzburg High Court convicted both men of robbery with aggravating circumstances and murder. His throat was slit and he sustained multiple stab wounds.
Some of his body parts were also removed. Intensive investigations and information led to the arrest of two men on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.
Both accused were denied bail and appeared on several occasions in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court.
Hard work paid off for Paddock detective Sergeant Michael Mzwakhe Msizazwe when two suspects who were being investigated for murder, were sentenced.
Ugu District Commander for detectives, Brigadier Bongani Sibiya is extremely pleased with the outcome of the case.
