Blue sapphire anniversary for Albersville couple
Dass is a household name among the fishing fraternity.
Many could only dream of one day enjoying a long and loving union strong enough to withstand decades.
However, this has been a reality for Dass and Muniamma Moodley of Albersville.
Today marks the well-known couple’s 65th wedding anniversary, which is indeed an incredible milestone.

They are congratulated by family, friends and community members alike.
Dass (87) and Muniamma (86) tied the knot on September 9, 1956 at Hamson’s cinema in Umbango.
For those wondering how they made it through 65 wonderful years the secret, they say, to a long and blissful union is to never go to bed hungry.
Those who know the couple will attest to their propensity to feed anyone that enters their household.
Dass is a household name among the fishing fraternity.
His uncanny ability to catch fish when everyone else failed, led to him earning provincial colours.
He went on to serve as a KZN selector.
The couple hopes to celebrate with their two sons Basil and Dennis, daughters-in-law Anusha and Des, as well as their grandchildren Nirosha, Levashnee, Meshen and Chevelle who are their pride and joy.
