Masks and pads donated to Umzinto schools

A total of 80 packs of sanitary pads were delivered to schools which will hand them out to those in need.

The Qaasimul ilm Foundation recently distributed facemasks and sanitary pads to schools in the Umzinto area.

After discovering that many young women don’t attend school when they menstruate due to not being able to afford sanitary pads, the foundation decided to take matters into their own hands and offer some assistance.

A total of 80 packs of sanitary pads were delivered to schools which will hand them out to those in need.

The foundation also noticed that there was a need for masks in schools, especially now seeing that the amount of Covid-19 cases in schools continue to increase.

Talking to school management, the foundation was made aware that some of the biggest reasons of the mask shortages was because pupils would often forget their masks at home and many masks break during the course of the day.

Two thousand masks were then donated to schools.

All recipients showed great appreciation for the generous donations, and the foundation wishes to thank each and every one of their sponsors for the continued support.
