Powerball millionaire claims prize

He had been playing for about 14 years, every Tuesday and Friday, and the most he had won was between R30 and R60.

Last Tuesday’s R100 million Powerball jackpot which saw the winning ticket being purchased in Manaba has been claimed by a former engineer.

The pensioner (72) stated he was in complete disbelief and checked his ticket multiple times to make sure he had won.

He had been playing for about 14 years, every Tuesday and Friday, and the most he had won was between R30 and R60.

Only his daughter is aware of his millionaire status.

Also, he said he will be consulting his private banker for financial advice and investment plans.

The winning ticket was played through with a wager of R7.50.
