Donate to Lions annual charity drive

On behalf of the club, Lion Colleen Brown thanks all residents who donated this week.

The Scottburgh Lions Club is currently busy with its annual collect-a-can charity drive, and requests the public to get on board by donating non-perishable food items, unwanted clothing and toys which will be distributed to the less fortunate at Christmas.

On Monday this week, the Lions went around Scottburgh south collecting these items from residents together with not one, but two Santas.

Sweets were also distributed to children they met along the way.

This was also the first time that the Lions received donations from residents in Scottburgh central which brought about much excitement.

“All of your donations are much appreciated and will go a long way,” she said.

The Lions inform Widenham residents to be ready for their visit with these requested items on Monday, December 6 from 17:00.
