Man’s body found in Umzinto River

The man is believed to be about 50 years old and is yet to be officially identified.

The body of a 50 year old man was retrieved from the Umzinto River yesterday (January 28) and handed to Umzinto Saps for further investigation.

The man had been reported missing on Sunday.

Members of Port Shepstone Saps Search and Rescue together, with K9 Search and Rescue assisted in the retrieval of the body.

Police say that the deceased has yet to be officially identified.

An inquest has been opened at Umzinto Saps.
