Quick action leads to recovery of stolen vehicle in Gamalakhe
A case of attempted murder and theft of a motor vehicle was opened at Saps Hibberdene.

A firearm and vehicle were taken during a dispute at a home in Hibberdene on March 8, where a man (56) was shot.
It is alleged a son shot his father and pointed the firearm at his stepmother before fleeing the scene.
Acting on information, members of Saps Port Shepstone K9, Highway Patrol, Airtrack Xtreme Security and Wolf Security were led to Ray Nkonyeni Road in Gamalakhe, where the stolen navy-coloured vehicle was discovered, along with the revolver.

Hendrik Ludick of Airtrack Xtreme Security gave special mention to Warrant Officer Johan (aka Willow) le Roux from Saps Port Shepstone K9 for his quick action.
“It was great team work and brilliant work from Le Roux who intercepted the getaway vehicle, and was first on the scene,” said Ludick.
Two men, aged 20, were arrested for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle, an unlicensed firearm and unlicensed ammunition.
