Rape case against teenage boy withdrawn

The incident happened in Mgangeni area in Mtwalume between November and December 2025

A 14-year-old boy, who was arrested in connection with the rape of a boy, aged seven, has been remanded into the custody of his parents.

According to Saps Ugu District Communications, the incident happened in Mgangeni area in Mtwalume between November and December 2025.

“A case of rape was opened at Saps Hibberdene and is currently being investigated by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Units (FCS) Port Shepstone. The suspect who is a minor has been remanded into the custody of his parents. The case has been provisionally withdrawn pending certain reports.”

Both the victim and his mother are receiving counselling.
