Scottburgh court sentences motorist for clocking 212km/h

Bheki Jethro Mchunu was stopped on the N2 at Ifafa by the Road Traffic Inspectorate.

On pleading guilty to speeding, Bheki Jethro Mchunu (36), was sentenced in the Scottburgh District Court on June 22.

He was sentenced to pay a fine of R20 000 or six months’ imprisonment should he default.

On April 5, a RTI officer stopped Mchunu on the N2 at Ifafa, where he timed his Mercedes Benz at a speed of 212km/h.
