Many people have made their way to Umkomaas to get in on the action.

The South Coast has been booming with sardine run action over the past few days.

Today (June 13), there has been a lot of sards activity in the Umkomaas area. As per various social media reports, Team Moonlite once again netted a massive shoal here.

Yesterday (June 12) was also another successful day for seine netters in the mid-South Coast. There were several nettings done at Scottburgh beach, sharks making appearances close to shore (either by following the sards or being landed by fishermen) and sardines eventually began washing up – attracting many people to this spot.
