Ramsgate Lions host charity beach run/walk
Instead of a set entry fee, participants are asked to bring a donation of cash or goods in support of one of three local charities.
The Ramsgate Lions Club is inviting the community to lace up their takkies and join in a fun-filled family run/walk on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00.
The 5km event will start at the Ramsgate tidal pool parking area.
This year’s event is all about giving back.
Instead of a set entry fee, participants are asked to bring a donation of cash or goods in support of one of three local charities: the Lower South Coast SPCA, South Coast Hospice, or Matla A Bana (an organisation working against child abuse).
Donations can range from pet food, toys and blankets for the SPCA, to adult care items such as slippers, body lotion and biscuits for hospice, or children’s essentials like teddies, toiletries, soap and colouring books for Matla A Bana.
Ramsgate Lions said the event is a chance to combine fitness, family fun and community spirit.
Bring the family, enjoy the fresh sea air and make a real difference for these deserving organisations..
